Q.) Who is a SafeAssured Provider?  How are SafeAssured IDs provided to communities?

A.) Our hope is to make SafeAssured ID kits available in every community.  Providers are businesses, service clubs, schools, law enforcement and media companies who hold ID events where the kits are produced.  If you want SafeAssured in your community, talk to your local PTA, service clubs and/or businesses about offering the program.

Q.) How does a SafeAssured Event benefit families?

A.) A completed, ready-to-use kit is sent home with the family at the end of their enrollment session.  The key to success with SafeAssured is the rapid dissemination of information to law enforcement.  SafeAssured balances the need for privacy with the speed of rapid dissemination. Within moments of disappearance, law enforcement can access all identifying data on the mini-CD and begin search and rescue efforts.  The sensitive information contained on the mini-CD is encrypted to protect the family. SafeAssured stores no information and retains no database.

Q.) What are the benefits to a business when sponsoring a SafeAssured ID event?

A.) You can make a significant difference in your community by raising awareness and providing families with the latest technology.  SafeAssured ID gives businesses a vehicle with a trio of benefits: be good corporate citizens; implement a marketing strategy; and offer a valuable employee benefit.  With this program you can build sales while building goodwill in your service area.  Events may be held at your store/company or at other locations to increase the traffic and awareness of your business.

Q.) Who endorses this product?

A.) Various civic and volunteer organizations have endorsed SafeAssured ID as a proactive safety program for their community.  Several state school board associations and local law enforcement agencies have offered their support.  SafeAssured ID meets the minimum requirements for digital IDs, as set forth by NCMEC, and is a proud corporate partner supporting their efforts to find missing and exploited children.

Q.) How do I host an event? How much does an event cost? Can I just sponsor the event?

A.) SafeAssured prides itself on being a turn-key solution.  The SafeAssured system and our marketing resources are “ready-to-implement.”  Your options include buying or leasing the systems, sponsoring a number of kids, and/or sponsoring an event package.  We can even provide funding guidance, if needed.  To learn more of the opportunities available and the costs associated with them, contact Ken Hofmaster at 715.848.5263 or khofmaster@safeassured-id.com.

Q.) What are the branding opportunities associated with SafeAssured ID?

A.) Sponsors have the opportunity to brand the ID kits and the backdrop with their company name and logo. As child safety events tend to be very newsworthy, SafeAssured gives high-visibility opportunities to showcase your involvement in the community.

Q.) Why are digital fingerprints on a SafeAssured ID more useful than prints on paper or a plastic card?

A.) SafeAssured IDs can digitally capture all ten fingerprints, which then can be instantly disseminated.  The files are immediately available. The digital files on the mini-CD contain feature-rich digital fingerprints that law enforcement need when searching for and identifying a missing youth. Many ID products continue to use traditional ink fingerprints or digitally scan a single fingerprint and then print to a full-color ID card. However, these prints cannot be electronically transmitted to where the child may have been seen.  It could take days instead of minutes to get the print to the scene.

Q.) Where is the data stored?

A.)  No other place than the mini-CD which the family maintains.  That remains one of the distinguishing characteristics of SafeAssured when compared to other identification systems.  Paper documentation is shredded and electronic data is destroyed upon enrollment completion. The private data contained on the CD is accessible by law enforcement only when the family presents them with the CD.  All of the information is stored and captured in one place – the mini-CD.

Q.) How fast does law enforcement get access to the useful information on the SafeAssured ID mini-CD?

A.) Immediately.  When the family provides law enforcement with the mini-CD, the information contained can then be immediately utilized for the missing person search efforts. SafeAssured ID maintains a 24/7/365 tech support number for law enforcement:  1-888-995-SAFE (7233)

Q.) What makes SafeAssured ID’s product so comprehensive?

A.) The SafeAssured ID Solution provides a media-ready tool that can be used immediately to alert the public of the missing person’s identifiable characteristics, including:

• Digital photo

• Streaming video showing mannerisms and gait

• Digital audio file showing voice inflection and accent

• General personal information

• Protected private information

• Digital Fingerprints

• Secret family code word

Q.) What if my child has received an ID kit in the past?

A.) An ID card alone is not an ID kit, it does not provide the same tools as the SafeAssured ID kit.  SafeAssured surpasses all other IDs in its comprehensiveness and rapid dissemination.  When comparing ID kits side-by-side, SafeAssured offering digital fingerprints, streaming video showing mannerisms and gait, linked audio showing voice inflection and accent and a full-set of digital fingerprints.

Q.) How often do I need to update the SafeAssured kit for my child?

A.) SafeAssured ID recommends having your child enrolled annually.  As your child’s features change, The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) recommends a current kit be produced.  When a youth is reported missing, minutes matter.  According to Ernie Allen, president and CEO of NCMEC, “Time is the enemy when it comes to recovering a missing child.  A critical element to the first few hours of an investigation is for law enforcement to have a good quality, current photograph of the missing child.” He further stated, “NCMEC urges parents and guardians to maintain easily accessible, good-quality photographs of their children. SafeAssured ID helps them accomplish this.”

Q.)  Why is having a comprehensive ID kit important in a search?

A.)  Minutes Matter and every second counts; having a completed ID kit, especially one that is as comprehensive as SafeAssured eliminates the harried search for details that law enforcement needs to locate a your loved one.  Every piece of information that is needed to trace the whereabouts of your loved one is located in a single place.

Q.)  How long does it take to complete each person’s SafeAssured ID kit?

A.) In about six minutes, the identifying characteristics of the person can be captured by the volunteer or sponsor and recorded on to the mini-CD.  The kit is then ready for the family to use.

Q.) What if my SafeAssured ID kits are at home and I’m not?

A.) In the event your loved one is missing, you can advise a trusted family member of law enforcement to negotiate access into your home to get the ID kits and can immediately email the information to where the investigation is taking place.

Q.) Can SafeAssured ID be used for adults too?

A.) Absolutely.  Many providers have offered the IDs for memory-challenged adults, college students, parents and business and leisure travelers.  SafeAssured ID provides peace of mind to people of all ages.
